  • CRA Notice of Assessment Update: What Changes on February 9, 2026 (And What You Should Do Now)

Starting February 9, 2026, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is changing how Canadians access their Notice of Assessment (NOA) and Notice of Reassessment. From that date, these notices will be available to view exclusively through CRA portals, including My Account, My Business Account, and Represent a Client inside your CRA account. In most cases, once your tax return is processed, the notice will appear in the portal immediately, and CRA will send you an email notification when it is ready to view.

If you do not currently have a CRA account, CRA encourages you to register so you can easily access your notices online. For individuals who do not have a CRA account, or those who have selected to receive correspondence by mail, CRA will continue sending notices to the mailing address on file. For more details, CRA recommends visiting the page: Notices of assessment – NOA or NOR.
