Seniuk & Marcato Chartered Professional Accountants is a growing CPA firm in Edmonton. We are currently looking to fill three Staff Accountant positions for our upcoming busy season.
Our firm is an authorized CPA training office, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to gain practical public accounting experience and work toward their CPA designation.
Term
This is a contract position for up to four months, from January to April 2027, with a start date of January 15, 2027.
There may be an opportunity for full time permanent employment following the contract for candidates who are a strong fit with our firm.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of compilation engagements
- Preparation of review engagements
- Assistance with audit engagements
- Preparation of personal and corporate income tax returns
- Preparation of financial statements
- Other accounting and assurance work as required
Qualifications
Candidates should have an accounting diploma, certificate, or degree. Relevant public practice experience may be considered in place of post secondary education.
Excellent written and spoken English skills are essential.
Experience with the following is considered an asset:
- Caseware
- QuickBooks
- Sage
- Canadian tax preparation software
